Xen on Ubuntu Feisty

Xen virtual machine is supported by Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty by default. It includes patched kernel, graphical Xenman xen cluster monitoring tool, etc.

The first testing failed, I did dist-upgrade from my edgy desktop, which installed xen from xen official source tarball and was running well, to feisty, without tunning anything. I'm wondering if the failure was coused by those old hand-modified script, bcoz i didn't clean them up from the system upgradation. :-P

By the feisty's default, xen support was not enable. You can install xen packages manually from official package by using apt-get or aptitude or synaptic, reboot. And then, xen's running on your machine :-)

Dom0 is running, but when I trying to run guestOS, vif ERROR message appears.

  1. Magically, Xen's running well on my desktop now!
    Without modifying anything, just reboot a few times, switch back to boot old kernel, and reboot to new kernel, and some meanningless works.
    Both dom0 and the first old test guest0 are running on my box now! :D
